Overview

Stratton Mills are recruiting for a passionate and caring Health Care Assistant to work full time for our client in the Oakland area.

The successful candidate will be working full time in a care home on a permanent basis. You will support residents and add value to their lives through assisting them in their daily activities, be that with personal care, companionship or general support.

Responsibilities

  • Look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Client using a person-centred approach, including personal care.
  • Observe and promote the Client’s choice, independence, dignity, privacy, fulfilment and other rights.
  • To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their Family and Friends.
  • Actively support other Care Workers.
  • To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and Caring Hand’s policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Follow Care plans accurately and keep records where required.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the care home.

Qualities / Qualifications

  • Some experience is preferred, however the emphasis is on gaining new staff who truly care for residents.
  • A positive can-do attitude will greatly benefit the post holder and the residents.
