Parts Apprenticeship – Leominster
Tallis Amos, a forward‑thinking UK machinery dealership, is offering a two‑year John Deere apprenticeship in Retail Parts. The program provides a world‑class education in logistics, parts, retail and inventory for John Deere machinery, with structured prospects for future career development within the company.
The main purpose of a retailer is to assist customers when they purchase products and services. Responsibilities include a good understanding of the stock, knowledge of the various shopping options, and the ability to process payments, for example, using a till. Retailers must be passionate about delivering quality service that aims to exceed customers’ expectations. They enjoy direct contact with a wide range of people and are motivated by completing a sale and ensuring customer satisfaction.
The apprenticeship will develop your skills and proficiency across a wide range of technical areas. Over the two years you will learn about logistics, parts, retail and inventory. We require a basic level of education with a minimum of GCSE grades 4/C in both Maths and English.
You will be mentored to help your development and guide you with best practice in on‑the‑job situational learning. Each year you will spend time at the John Deere UK training centre in Langar, Nottinghamshire to learn theory, then return to the depot to apply this knowledge under the guidance of your mentor.
