An exciting opportunity is available for a Meat Cutter to join a long-established family butchery business supplying high-quality meat products to both catering and retail customers.

Based within a busy secondary processing and cutting plant in Stevenage, this role is ideal for someone with strong knife skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands‑on production environment.

Working hours

Monday, Thursday, Friday: 05:00 – 15:00Potential Saturday morning overtime depending on workload

Your responsibilities as a Meat Cutter

  • Strip joints and prepare primal cuts
  • Cut steaks to specification
  • Prepare chicken and other meat products
  • Work accurately to production targets and customer specifications
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness

What we’re looking for in a Meat Cutter

  • Previous experience within a meat cutting, butchery or processing environment
  • Good knife skills and manual dexterity
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early starts
  • Strong attention to quality, hygiene, and consistency
  • Physically fit and comfortable in a demanding production environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop site‑specific skills and processes
