Job Description:

We are excited to offer Post Graduate Teaching Apprenticeships (PGTA) starting September 2026 at Bromley Schools’ Collegiate. This apprenticeship programme provides a unique opportunity for individuals to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) while earning a salary. Apprentices will be part of our highly successful teacher training programme and will work towards achieving QTS, with the End-Point Assessment (EPA) taking place in September 2027.

Course Overview

The PGTA at Bromley Schools’ Collegiate follows a similar structure to our long-established Salaried ITT programme, which has been successful for many years. Apprentices receive high-quality training and classroom experience, including two placements in contrasting schools to develop a broad and balanced perspective on teaching.

Training begins in September 2026 and concludes in July 2027, with a recommendation for QTS. The EPA will take place in September 2027, assessing each apprentice’s readiness to qualify as a teacher.

Programme Structure

  • Start Date: September 2026
  • Recommendation for QTS: July 2027
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA): September 2027

The PGTA mirrors the evidence requirements and placement structure of the Salaried ITT programme, equipping apprentices with the professional skills and experience needed to become confident, effective educators. Throughout the year, trainees receive exceptional support, including mentoring, in‑school guidance, and academic training from expert practitioners.
