Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual SEND profiles
- Adapt curriculum content and learning materials to meet a wide range of needs
- Provide a nurturing, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils with personal care, physical needs, or medical routines where required
- Develop and deliver targeted interventions for communication, social skills, literacy, numeracy, and emotional regulation
- Collaborate closely with the SENCO, support staff, therapists, and multi-agency teams
- Monitor progress against EHCP outcomes and contribute to reviews and assessments
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils and families
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
- Is an experienced SEN Teacher with strong knowledge of SEND strategies
- Is confident supporting pupils with personal care
- Has experience with autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, or complex learning difficulties
- Demonstrates calm, nurturing behaviour management and a child-centred approach
- Can adapt teaching creatively to engage pupils working at a variety of levels
- Works collaboratively and communicates effectively with staff, families, and professionals
- Is resilient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
