Science Technician

NJC Scale Point: 2 – 4
Salary: £14,187 to £14,636 per annum
Hours: 25 Hours per week, Term Time Only
Start date: 01 September 2026
Responsibilities
We are seeking an organised individual with awareness of health & safety regulations and the ability to prioritise work tasks, with a real drive to enhance students’ experience of secondary education. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working under pressure to meet deadlines. Experience with children in an education setting is desirable but not essential. Reporting to the Area Leader for Science, this role will involve providing technical support to meet the needs of the Science Faculty and, under the direction of the Principal, carry out academy maintenance duties in the proportion of hours set aside and aggregated for this purpose, including offering first‑aid assistance to our students.
Qualifications
To succeed you will have a good academic standard of general education to GCSE grade C/4 in English and Maths and have good basic computer skills.
