Multi Trade Operative

Overview

Self‑employed position – PAYE options after a three‑month period. Van and fuel card supplied.

Our client is a well‑established building and maintenance company expanding its operations in the Sutton area. We are looking for experienced multi‑traders to join our team. You will be carrying out work on a social housing contract, including re‑active maintenance and planned works.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform 1st / 2nd fix carpentry, kitchen installations, bathroom installations, repair minor leaks, and replace sanitary wear.
• Complete ceramic wall tiling, vinyl flooring, tiling, and 1st / 2nd fix plumbing.
• Wash, paint and decorate surfaces; solder where required.
• Assist with non‑licensed asbestos removal (full training provided).
• Work on external works and liaise with other trades when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Extensive knowledge in multi‑trade domestic work.
• Customer‑service oriented with a strong multi‑trade background.
• Excellent material knowledge and the ability to manage day‑to‑day operations independently.
• Must have a clean driving license, keep the van clean and tidy, and live within a 20‑mile radius of Sutton.
• Must be able to provide two references and be DBS checked if successful.
