Ysgol Estyn – Wrexham AFC PE and School Sport Apprentice

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Apprentice to join our primary school. The role involves organising and running safe, enjoyable activities at lunchtimes, supporting teachers in delivering PE, and leading after‑school sport activities across the week. Working hours are 09:30‑16:30, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

• Organise and deliver PE lessons across various sports.
• Engage and motivate pupils of all abilities to participate in physical activity.
• Facilitate lunchtime and after‑school sports clubs.
• Lead playground activities for infant and junior children during breaks and lunchtimes, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
• Provide fun after‑school sessions (e.g. aerobics, dance, sports skills) to small groups of children.

Requirements

• Be a great sporting role‑model for children.
• Have the ability to organise and run safe, enjoyable activities at playtimes and lunchtimes.
• Support teachers while they deliver PE lessons, helping pupils improve.
• Organise and run sport and fitness sessions after school for children of all ages.
