Pollution Response Technician – Permanent, full-time.
Location
Millbrook Depot (Southampton, Hampshire)
Hours
5 days on 2 days off, 45 hours per week (includes weekends).
Salary
£30,500 per annum.

About The Role
The Pollution Response Technician manages all aspects of daily operation for pollution incidents, ensuring efficient and effective processes.
- First response to all pollution related incidents/jobs raised.
- Oversee and supervise any pollution site, ensuring safe, efficient and effective management of the incident.
- Initiate initial mitigation to minimise environmental impact.
- Lead investigation to establish cause of pollution.
- Plan and organise ongoing mitigation or follow‑on works.
- Facilitate work required to resolve the issue quickly and to the correct standard, including external contractors for remediation.
- Ensure evidence is captured to support investigation or demonstrate no pollution.
- Deliver world‑class customer service and manage stakeholders such as client, Environment Agency, local authorities.
- Maintain no‑compromise approach to H&S practice while carrying out works.
- Carry out risk assessments and have a mature approach to risk perception.
- Be aware of all Lanes Group policies and responsibilities.
- Perform any reasonable ad‑hoc duties requested by management.
About You
We are seeking hard‑working, respectful candidates who comply with health and safety standards. Experience with high‑pressure jetting equipment is useful but not essential. Other drainage qualifications (e.g., NRSWA, Confined Spaces) are an advantage.
Minimum qualifications:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work safely, quickly diagnose, and deliver practical solutions with high customer satisfaction.
