Hours: 37.5 hours per week, occasional overtime (including weekends)

We are looking for an experienced General Assistant with a background in catering services to support our highly prestigious independent school catering team.
Job Description
As a General Assistant you will:
- Assist in the preparation and serving of lunch and snacks according to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front‑of‑house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
- Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
- Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing any concerns or special dietary needs.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
Qualifications
- Experience working within education catering.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety.
- Customer‑focused, flexible attitude.
- Organised, with great attention to detail.
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
- Willingness to adapt to a flexible working schedule.
