We’re recruiting an experienced Skilled Butcher to join a well-established and growing wholesale operation based in Boston.
This is a hands‑on butchery role focused on quality, consistency, and craftsmanship, supplying high‑quality products to hospitality and catering customers. It is not a production‑line role – it will suit a butcher who takes pride in their work and delivers consistently high standards.

What You’ll Be Doing as Skilled Butcher
This is a modern butchery environment focused on skilled meat preparation and order fulfilment, supplying high‑quality products. It is not a slaughterhouse role, but a clean, structured operation where craftsmanship and consistency are key.
- Prepare a variety of meat products to wholesale and customer‑specific requirements within a fast‑paced butchery environment
- Preparing and portioning beef, lamb, pork, and chicken
- Working with primal and part‑processed cuts
- Producing wholesale cuts and bespoke customer orders
- Preparing value‑added products such as mince, burgers, and sausages
- Operating butchery machinery safely and efficiently
- Receiving and checking stock deliveries
- Labelling and preparing orders for dispatch
- Using internal systems to process orders and print labels
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, and product quality
What We’re Looking For in a Skilled Butcher
- Proven experience in butchery (retail, wholesale, or food production)
- Strong knife skills and product knowledge
- Experience preparing value‑added and processed products
- Confidence using butchery equipment and machinery
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work efficiently within a team environment
- Basic IT skills for order processing and labelling
Hours: 40 hours per week; Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm; Working Pattern: 5 days from Sunday to Friday.
