Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant in the Hereford area. Axcis Education is working on behalf of local schools for a range of long‑term and short‑term roles. We are seeking a long‑term placement in a primary school, Monday to Friday 8:30‑4pm during term time only, with an immediate start date. The role involves working in a 2‑form entry primary school, supporting a 9‑year‑old who requires educational and emotional support.
We pay £14.25 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Sitting in class to keep on task
- Supervising lunch and break times
- Supporting the teacher with tasks
- Keeping teachers and parents up to date with the child’s progress
Qualifications
- Experience working with children, such as in a support‑based role or alternative care
- Ability to work with children who require educational and emotional support
- Prepared to provide an up‑to‑date DBS or allow Axcis to process one
