Acorn by Synergie is urgently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a busy trunking operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking regular work, competitive pay, and long-term opportunities within a modern logistics environment.

Start times are 07:00 daily, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.

HGV Class 1 Driver – Shunter

Wolverhampton | £17 – £20 per hour | Ongoing | Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday

Key Duties:

• Safely operate yard shunter vehicles.
• Carry out safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers.
• Monitor and report vehicle damage.
• Ensure fridges are running correctly and electrical connections are secure.
• Maintain vehicle wash and refuelling areas.
• Collect and return vehicles for servicing when required.
• Follow all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Previous shunting experience preferred, although training can be provided.
• Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping.
• Ability to work independently and safely within a busy yard environment.
