Overview HGV Class 2 LTDWe are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating a flatbed lorry to deliver goods efficiently across designated routes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced drivers with a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service. Candidates must possess valid driving credentials and have previous experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 HGV vehicle, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies
- Load and unload goods, ensuring securement of cargo during transit
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise efficiency
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with clients and colleagues during deliveries
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar equipment
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving record and valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Excellent knowledge of road safety regulations and traffic laws within the UK
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and securing cargo
- Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules efficiently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous but not essential
