are currently recruiting for passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants with experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) to work across a trusted network of schools in the Sheffield area on a flexible supply basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff who are looking for flexibility, variety, and the chance to make a genuine difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (Autism Specialist), you will:
Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils with autismHelp create a positive, structured, and inclusive learning environmentSupport pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social interactionWork closely with teachers, SENCOs, and wider school staffAdapt learning activities to meet individual pupil needsEncourage independence and confidence within the classroom setting
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should have:
Previous experience working with children or young people with autism/SENA calm, patient, and empathetic approachStrong communication and behaviour management skillsThe ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staffA flexible and proactive attitudeAn enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
