Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and serve high-quality meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- Plan and create varied, nutritional menus tailored to residents’ needs and preferences
- Adapt meals for special diets (e.g. allergies, texture‑modified diets, cultural needs)
- Maintain food hygiene, safety and cleanliness standards (HACCP, COSHH)
- Order stock, control supplies and minimise waste
- Support or supervise kitchen staff where required
- Cater for events and activities (e.g. birthdays, seasonal events)
About the Candidate
- Previous cooking experience (care home experience desirable)
- Knowledge of food safety & nutrition
- Ability to work in a resident‑focused, caring environment
- Good organisation, teamwork and communication skills
