About the Role

Early Childhood Educator – Ark Start St Clement (Holland Park, W11 4NS). Reporting to Nursery Manager.

Contract: Permanent. Working Pattern: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, all year) or Term-time (39 weeks per year). Salary: From £27k per year.

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Early Childhood Educator to join the team at Ark Start St Clement. Provide the highest standards of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care, ensure safeguarding, promote welfare, and create an enabling learning environment.

We will be reviewing applications on an ongoing basis and the advert may close depending on the level of response. Interviews will be arranged as suitable candidates are identified.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for a group of key worker children including observations, assessments, and relationships with parents.
  • Implementation of the Ark Start curriculum.
  • Ensuring high-quality interactions with all children in nursery.
  • Creating an enabling environment where all children can make good progress.
  • Ensuring the nursery is safe, secure, and follows the Ark Start safeguarding policy and procedures.
  • Keeping child records up to date and reporting to parents and senior staff.
  • Promoting high standards of the nursery to parents, staff, and visitors in line with the Ark Start code of conduct and handbook.

Key Requirements

  • Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care or willingness to work towards qualification.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Awareness of child safety, safeguarding and welfare concerns, and knowledge of how and when to take appropriate action.
  • Team player who can work collaboratively and use own initiative.
  • Ability to reflect on practice and commitment to continuous improvement.
