POSITION: Beauty Consultant
LOCATION: H Beauty Edinburgh
HOURS: Part-time – 18 hours
MISSION
As a Beauty Consultant for Guerlain, you are a brand ambassador. In your role, you are responsible for achieving your sales targets while promoting the brand image and providing a personalised luxury service to customers. Through your passion for the brand you will demonstrate an attitude that befits Guerlain at all times.
Responsibilities
- Sales: To pro-actively sell Guerlain products and provide a luxury standard of service to customers; to be aware of and achieve or exceed sales targets, as set by your line manager; to pro-actively link sell across product categories, to increase average transaction value (ATV) and average transaction units (ATU).
- KPI: To achieve sales targets
- Service: To be knowledgeable on all Guerlain products and be able to propose personalised products to clients and confidently and appropriately overcome any objections; demonstrate products on clients by means of flash make-overs and confidently explain the benefits of each product; to initiate contact with customers and welcome them both on counter and through traffic stopping; to identify, understand and reformulate the client needs; to develop personal relationships with clients and to gain loyalty; to educate clients on Guerlain products and the brand.
- KPI: To achieve target for Mystery Shopping
- General: To participate in merchandise management and ensure that it is in line with Corporate guidelines; to monitor stock levels, report any issues to the Counter Manager and ensure that there are sufficient levels; to conduct all assigned operational and administrative tasks; to be a Guerlain brand ambassador and representative at all times; to adhere to all Company procedures and policies, as outlined in the employee handbook; to build relationships with store management and adhere to all store policies and procedures; to carry out any additional duties as directed by the management team

External: Guerlain clients, Department store colleagues, Department store managers, Department store HR Departments
Person Specification
- Tenacious; willing to go the extra mile to ensure the customer leaves having received the very best in luxury service.
- Driven and results oriented; seeking out ways to continually grow the business through events and counter activity.
- Self-confident; you will be able to approach and engage with customers at ease, using your strong selling skills to chase that extra sale. You will be able to demonstrate cosmetics and make-up application knowledge, and through excellent communication skills, be able to identify key items that would suit the customers’ needs.
- Immaculately groomed and presented; you will embody the elegance that customers have come to identify with Guerlain.
