Location: 25 Bagleys Lane

We are seeking a PSV Company Bus Driver for a 25‑hour contract. Working hours: 07:00‑10:00 and 14:00‑17:00 daily. On‑site parking is available.

Job Purpose

Provide safe, reliable, and customer‑focused transport services, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of clients throughout journeys.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and wellbeing of clients throughout the journey and handover.
• Wear high‑visibility PPE in vehicle movement areas.
• Observe speed limits within bus depots and school premises.
• Check vehicle condition before each shift (safety walk‑round, defect reporting, vehicle cleanliness).
• Comply with company regulations regarding mobile phone use, smoking, and prohibited equipment.
• Assist with safety, security, welfare, environmental and fire safety arrangements.
• Report all accidents, incidents or safety concerns following company procedure.
• Understand emergency and evacuation plans.
• Keep bus cab area clean and tidy.
• Deliver high standard of customer service, providing information on road closures, diversions, etc.
• Drive company vehicles safely, legally and professionally, meeting set timetables.
• Keep up to date with road closures, diversions or special events; attend briefings and listen to instructions.
• Maintain a valid driving licence and CPC licence; provide it for inspection upon request.
• Report to work on time, following the correct dress code; avoid reporting when overtired or under influence.
• Follow relevant notification procedures for absences; participate in yearly appraisal; give feedback to improve services.

Required Criteria

• Valid current UK (or acceptable other) driver’s licence, no greater than 6 penalty points.
• Good understanding of written and spoken English.
• Proven eligibility to work in the UK.
• Ability to provide suitable references and proof of identity.
• Professional driving experience; 7 hours of DCPC training each year.
• Basic secondary school education or equivalent.
• Prepared to undertake training such as NVQ as required.
• Valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC).

Contract and Salary

Part‑time, £14.70 per hour. 25‑hour weekly contract.
