Youth Worker

Overview

Youth Worker (Behaviour Mentor) – Secondary School – Tower Hamlets – ASAP Start – £115 – £120 per day (depending on experience).

Youth Worker required to provide behavioural and pastoral support to students in a mainstream secondary school in Tower Hamlets.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1, in-class, and outside-class support to students.
• Work with students who have challenging behaviour and build strong rapport with them.
• Collaborate with the behavioural support team to support students from different walks of life.
• Utilise appropriate behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Desirable: Team Teach/Physical Intervention training to assist with safe restraint if required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience with young people, ideally in a school setting.
• Strong behaviour management skills.
• Empathetic approach and ability to build excellent rapport with students.
• Team Teach/Physical Intervention training desirable.
