Class 2 (Category C) Drivers Required – Flexible Ad Hoc Work Available

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a variety of clients across Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
We have work available immediately, with flexible ad hoc shifts on offer and the potential to move into regular, ongoing work for reliable drivers.
Working Patterns
- Flexible shifts based on client requirements
- Work available across Edinburgh and surrounding areas
- Weekday and weekend shifts offered
- Typical start times: 7:00am or 11:00am
- Additional shifts available during peak periods and holiday cover
Pay Rates
Monday to Friday
- £14.50 per hour (PAYE)
- £16.25 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Overtime – After 8 Hours
- £19.32 per hour (PAYE)
- £21.66 per hour (PAYE Advanced)
Benefits
- Minimum 8 hours pay guaranteed per shift

The Role
- Completing multi-drop deliveries in a Class 2 vehicle
- Working with a driver’s mate to assist with loading and unloading
- Handling goods safely, including some heavy items
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and completing paperwork
- Providing a professional and friendly customer service at all times
Requirements
- Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 9 penalty points (No DD, DR, CD, or IN endorsements)
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience
- Reliable, professional, and safety-focused approach
