Job Overview

The Best Connection are looking for experienced, ready‑made artic tipper drivers who are tipper trained and able to tramp out a minimum of four nights per week. This is a Temp‑to‑Perm opportunity for suitable candidates.

Pay & Working Hours

  • Overtime: After 45 hours at Time & Quarter
  • Saturday Rate: Time & Quarter
  • Minimum Weekly Hours: Guaranteed 45 hours (expected working week 65-70 hours)
  • Night Out Allowance: £25 per night

Requirements

  • Minimum 25 years old
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Maximum 6 penalty points
  • Flexibility required
  • Vehicles: Scania, Volvo, DAF

Responsibilities

You will be driving and operating our very own Bulker Tipper vehicles that include a microwave and fridge, while transporting material between our sites and customer sites, providing a world‑class customer experience to all customers. If you do not have experience with Bulker Tipper vehicles, we will provide in‑house training.

About You

  • Hold a HGV Class 1 (CAT C +E) licence
  • Take a methodical approach to work
  • Be patient, able to work unsupervised, and stay calm under pressure
  • Have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co‑workers, and provide a high level of customer service
  • Be able to follow instructions, and know when to discuss changes to plans with your line manager
  • Be a good communicator and be able to avoid conflict
  • Be able to recognise/anticipate hazardous situations and react accordingly
