Join Kids Planet Waverton House as an Early Years Apprentice! We’re now looking for an Early Years Apprentice to join our team, someone who’s ready to get stuck in, spark imaginations, and help children thrive. As an Early Years Apprentice, you will be enrolled on to a training programme through the Kids Planet Training Academy to gain a qualification in Early Years.

How you’ll make a difference as an Early Years Apprentice



  • Learn how to support, care for, and inspire children during their earliest years, from birth to age five

  • Ensure the safeguarding of children in your care

  • Work as part of a successful team

  • Build warm, trusting relationships with families through kind, open communication

  • Liaise with parents on matters relating to their child’s well‑being


What an Early Years Apprentice needs



  • Meet minimum apprenticeship eligibility criteria, including having lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years

  • Pass maths and English entry assessments

  • Successful completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (enhanced DBS check required)

Kids Planet is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the well‑being of children and young people. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate is mandatory for all positions, and this role will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our safeguarding duties. All staff and volunteers are required to undertake regular safeguarding training and complete ongoing education to ensure they understand and fulfil their responsibilities.


As a guide, Level 2 apprenticeships take approximately 15 months to complete, and Level 3 apprenticeships take approximately 18 months to complete.
