Technology Workshop Technician – School STEM Lab

South Bromsgrove High is an over-subscribed, high performing 13-18 school. In our last Ofsted Inspection in 2023, we were judged to be ‘Good’ for Overall Effectiveness, with Leadership & Management, the Sixth Form and Personal Development all deemed to be ‘Outstanding’.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare materials, components and equipment for practical lessons
• Maintain tools and equipment, including regular safety checks and basic repairs
• Support students (Years 10-13) during practical lessons on a 1:1 or small-group basis
• Ensure workshop environments are safe, well‑organised and fully resourced
• Manage stock control, deliveries and inventories
• Assist with the smooth running of practical lessons across the faculty

The successful candidate will

• Have strong practical and organisational skills
• Be committed to health and safety in workshop environments
• Enjoy supporting students and staff in a busy practical setting
