Part Time / 20 Hours Per Week/ Permanent (Jewry Wall Museum)

Working in the busy environments of King Richard III Visitors Centre/ Jewry Wall Cafe, we are looking for a motivated, dynamic individual to prepare food and serve in our cafe.

Join our bright and friendly team that focuses on delivering great customer service. Working together, we ensure that the cafe operates efficiently. We help the sites in maintaining their outstanding record by performing to the highest possible standard on cleanliness, maintenance and food and drink presentation as well as following the latest health and safety guidance.

Both of these posts work on a weekly rota system including daytime shifts as well as weekend and bank holidays with the occasional evening shift to fit into the Visitors centres peak times. You’ll be expected to be fully flexible.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be completing a variety of roles including taking orders, food & drink preparation, cleaning, storage, and cash handling. Working as part of a team, you’ll provide excellent customer service, promoting cafe products. Helping replenish stock deliveries that you’ll check against delivery notes and store as instructed in line with hygiene and safety regulations.

What you’ll need

With experience of working in a catering environment, you’ll be able to manage cash and use the till system to give change, manage orders and cash up the daily takings. Dealing with customers, you’ll be able to efficiently manage orders and prepare food. You’ll be able to work under pressure and continue to serve with a smile. You’ll have a can‑do attitude, with a real passion and commitment to customer care, creating a positive experience for everyone.
