Graphic Technician – Bedfordshire – £25,000 per annum

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Graphic Technician with experience in using large scale scanners and printers, and in producing and installing graphics, to join the in‑house creative team of an eminent charity. Drawing on your technical, creative and co‑ordination skills, the objective of this role will be to maintain innovative interpretation designs.

Responsibilities

• Playing an integral part in interpretation management, providing maintenance of design work and contributing to the creativity of the team, including application of layouts and installation of graphics.
• Maintaining a routine maintenance programme for all exhibit and display areas, and liaising with contractors to support the maintenance of audio‑visual and manual interactives within exhibits.
• Being responsible for installation of small design projects, producing large‑format printing work on a variety of substrates, procuring materials and supplies for production of signs.
• Liaising with external suppliers and internal departments to develop implementation plans consistent with overall Programming projects and ensuring elements are delivered on time, to quality and cost expectations.
• Supporting internal departments by ensuring clear standards and templates are always in place and understood.
• Working with colleagues to redevelop existing interpretation.

Qualifications

• Qualification in design production or equivalent experience in graphic design production.
• Full competence in the use of mandatory computer programmes including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong communication skills, self‑management, and ability to work under pressure as part of a close‑knit team.
