Pay: £172.98 – £200 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full time contract, Monday to Friday 8:30am-3pm. Could become permanent for the right Food Technology Teacher.

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Cardiff. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to become part of a supportive department, with the potential for a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with curriculum standards
• Promote safe and effective use of kitchen equipment and maintain high hygiene standards
• Inspire students to develop confidence and creativity in food preparation and nutritionContribute to the wider school community and enrichment activities

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology, Design & Technology, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Ability to provide two professional references
