Loading Shovel Driver

LOADING SHOVEL OPERATOR – SCUNTHORPE

We are seeking a reliable and safety‑focused Loading Shovel Operator to join our busy team in Scunthorpe.

This is an ongoing position that may lead to a contract for the right candidate.

Scunthorpe

Shift Pattern

4 on / 4 off

• 2 × Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm
• 2 × Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am
• Applicants must be able to work both day and night shifts.

Pay Rates

• Standard Rate: £18.20 per hour
• Weekday Overtime: £24.26 per hour
• Paid when an extra weekday shift is worked after completing 4 shifts in the same week.
• Weekend Overtime: £27.30 per hour
• Paid when working a weekend shift after completing 5 shifts in the same week.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 1 year’s experience operating a loading shovel
• Valid loading shovel licence (CPCS/NPORS or equivalent)
• Ability to work both days and nights
• Strong awareness of site safety
• Reliable, flexible and a team player
• Good communication skills and a positive approach

Key Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate loading shovel machinery
• Move and manage materials and stockpiles
• Feed production processes as required
• Conduct daily equipment checks and report defects
• Support yard and production teams
• Maintain high standards of safety and housekeeping
