As a Kitchen Assistant, you will support the day‑to‑day operations of our care home kitchen at Hindhead Place, a luxury care home that provides residential, dementia, and nursing care for older people.

Responsibilities

• Support the chefs in planning and providing high‑quality meals that meet residents’ nutritional and dietary requirements
• Plan, prepare, and serve balanced meals that meet dietary requirements
• Ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and uses safe methods of work
• Manage all stocks and stores, ensuring all food is correctly marked and stock rotation systems are in place
• Maintain accurate records to satisfy food hygiene requirements, such as fridge temperature checks

About You

• Proven experience in a similar catering role, ideally in a care or related environment
• Committed to customer care and first‑class service provision
• Knowledge of Health and Safety COSHH regulations
• Empathy and a desire to make a difference to the lives of our residents
• Ability to multi‑task, work under pressure and independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Alignment with our values, a can‑do attitude, problem‑solving skills, and openness to innovative approaches
