Salary: £15.68 per hour (including service charge)
Responsibilities
- Uphold good housekeeping standards to ensure a safe, clean and pleasant working environment
- Comply with Health and Safety at Work regulations, especially COSHH and Manual Handling, and attend all training sessions with training logged
- Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards
Your Key Responsibilities & Contribution Will Be
- Assist in the preparation of operating equipment for functions, inventories and other requirements
- Wash and polish operating equipment and cooking utensils; examine cleanliness before distribution
- Empty bins, clear and sort refuse according to hotel policy
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect areas related to refuse when required
- Wash, disinfect, degrease, dry and polish floor Surfaces, walls, kitchen equipment and other equipment before, during and after service
- Assist with cleaning of operating equipment during banquet functions or peak periods in back-of-house areas related to outlets
- Maintain staff facilities clean, including locker rooms
Qualifications
- 1-3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry
- Intermediate communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Proven organizational skills; able to work independently and meet deadlines with quality results
- Enthusiastic, positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Willing to work on rotating shifts including weekends and public holidays
- Confident and dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of the organization
