We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to join a supportive Alternative Provision setting for the Autumn Term on a full-time basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine impact, teaching KS3 and KS4 students who require a more personalised and supportive approach to education.
You will be joining a well-established Alternative Provision that is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and helping students overcome barriers to learning. It offers a structured, nurturing environment with small class sizes, allowing staff to build strong relationships and deliver personalised learning. Your new role
As a full‑time Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible KS3 and KS4 Science lessons throughout the Autumn term. You will adapt your teaching to meet a range of needs, including students with SEMH and additional learning needs, and play a key role in supporting both academic progress and personal development.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated Science lessons
- Support pupils in re‑engaging with education
- Manage behaviour positively using a consistent approach
- Work closely with pastoral staff and support teams
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
What you’ll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4
- Strong behaviour management and relationship‑building skills
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs
Desirable experience
Experience within an Alternative Provision, PRU, or SEN setting is desirable, but not essential.
