Teaching Assistant

The ideal candidate must have the following:

• A minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Achieved at least grades A*- C (or equivalent) inGCSE English and Maths
• Experience of working with children in Key Stage 1and/or Key Stage 2
• Experience of taking groups and a whole class onyour own
• A proven track record of working with small groupsin an educational setting and the ability to show evidence of impact onchildren’s attainment through the use of interventions
• Be very well organised, have great communicationskills and an enthusiasm for supporting children of all abilities
• Good ICT skills
• A positive and proactive approach when supportinglearning and behaviour
• Work well under pressure and achieve set targets
• An understanding of the role of Teaching Assistantand other professionals working in the school
