Teaching Assistant – Flexible short‑term and long‑term opportunities available immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will be supporting pupils in Clacton on Sea and the surrounding areas, helping them access learning and thrive in an inclusive environment.
Duties as Teaching Assistant
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging learning activities
- Help implement behaviour strategies in line with school policies
- Support pupils with personal care needs where required
- Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment
- Monitor and record pupil progress and communicate with teaching staff
- Contribute to wider school life during longer-term placements
Ideal Teaching Assistant
- Must have 2 years referenceable experience supporting pupils in a school setting
- Understanding of strategies for supporting children with varying learning needs
- Ability to build positive and nurturing relationships with pupils
- Patience, empathy, and adaptability
- Confidence working across different year groups and classroom environments
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development
Salary and benefits – Your salary, dependent on experience, is paid weekly through PAYE. You will also have access to standard wellness services as part of the pay portal.
