Overview

Shift Leader – Children’s Homes (£36,231–£40,640 with good attendance and up to 4 sleep‑ins per month)

Responsibilities

  • Provide day‑to‑day care and support for young people with social, emotional and mental health needs.
  • Ensure smooth operation of the home, maintaining high standards of care and safety.
  • Support and supervise the staff team, stepping up to deputise for Team Leaders when required.
  • Foster positive relationships with young people, encouraging their development and well‑being.

Qualifications & Experience

  • ‘Can‑do’ attitude and a team‑player mindset.
  • Empathy, honesty and strong communication skills.
  • Resilience to manage challenging situations.
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – if not, the company will fund study.
