Activities Coordinator (Bank) – Luxury Care Home
Ruby Lodge Care Home located in Sowerby, Thirsk accommodates up to 69 residents and promotes a lifestyle that offers a luxurious environment with exceptional personalised care. With superb facilities, the highest standards of care, support and social interaction will be delivered with dignity, kindness, and compassion.
What you will be doing
- Organise varied activities within the Home to cater for a variety of interests and life stories for individuals, small groups and large numbers of residents.
- Meet targets set out to improve our resident’s lives which includes getting to know every resident through our ‘Resident of the Day’ programme.
- Work together with other local community groups and the wider local area.
- Bring fun, ideas, and energy into our residents’ lives! Inspire others through great relationships, to deliver a range of thought‑provoking wellbeing ideas.
- Coordinate a wide range of trips & experiences within the local area for small groups & individuals.
- Arrange key events throughout the year, such as seasonal celebrations & charity events.
About you
We are looking for someone who is friendly, welcoming, and entertaining, and would ensure all activities are appropriate for all residents.
- An understanding of the care sector would be advantageous.
- Have a friendly & caring attitude.
- Able to engage well with residents and their families.
- Be proactive, passionate, and a supportive team player, with experience of maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
- You will be going out and about, networking, planning activities and with residents therefore having access to your own vehicle with business insurance is essential.
