Senior XOL Technician

We are seeking an experienced Senior XOL Technician to join our Client Services Support team at Guy Carpenter in Witham. The role is hybrid and requires working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry and managing a client portfolio of premiums and claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds
• Manage all XOL post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e‑trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets
• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience within Excess of Loss (XOL) – essential
• Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, e.g. handling cash loss/large loss, and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure
• Successful management of workload and ability to manage expectations

Preferred qualifications

• Reinsurance Claims experience
• Experience working in a technical capacity for a Broker
• Experience using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository)
• Knowledge of CLASS system useful for review of London market queries
• Knowledge of Letters Of Credit and the Citibank process
