In the heart of Merton an ‘Outstanding’ Secondary School is looking for a Teacher of Biology (Science) for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full-time contract.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Teacher of Biology (Science) who is keen to add value to an expanding Science Department. The school is renowned for its supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

Experienced Science Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility and more. Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) will be enrolled onto the school’s bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young & experienced Science Teachers.

Person Specification

• Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
• Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
• Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a ‘Good or Outstanding’ level
• Must be able to work as part of a large team of Science Teachers
• Must be willing to listen to feedback
