As a Hard Rock Cafe Server, you will be assuming the role of tour guide, communicator, decision-maker, entertainer, memorabilia curator and musician (at heart).Basic functions of the Server include:Taking guests’ ordersRunning foodHandling cash & other forms of paymentMaking proficient sales transactions – using a point-of-sale systemProperly checking I.D.s – in line with EU/UK mandatory licencing laws (and Challenge 25)Demonstrating responsible alcohol serviceDemonstrating impeccable product knowledgeSuggestive selling – using proven techniquesAnswering questions – accurately and politelySatisfying any/all needs of the guests – regularly double checking back with guests throughout their experienceMaintaining a clean & organized station – including pre-bussing & table maintenancePerforming opening, closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning ashtrays, etcDemonstrating knowledge of all table/station numbersDirecting guests to areas & restroomsEffectively communicating with co-workersCreating memorable experiencesEntertaining guests to create “Raving Fans”Job Requirements include:Performing duties which require bending, reaching, lifting and standing for long periods of timeMaintaining a well-groomed appearance (“having a plan”)Following all uniform guidelinesPracticing all safety & sanitation standardsRecycling products, where possibleRemaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphereDemonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgencyDisplaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guestsMaintaining HRC’s 5 core Values and Mission StatementYour Cafe may cross-train the Server and the Busser positions.
