We are currently recruiting for a committed and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school in Kingston Upon Thames supporting pupils across all age groups (2-19). This is an exciting opportunity for a Class Teacher with either primary or secondary experience to thrive in a highly supportive and inclusive environment.

We have multiple roles available across primary and secondary, all specialisms are accepted.

The Role – Class Teacher

As a Class Teacher in this SEN school in Kingston Upon Thames, you will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Support pupils with a range of SEN needs, including ASD, SEMH, MLD, and complex learning difficulties
  • Differentiate learning to ensure all students can access the curriculum
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, SENCOs, and families
  • Monitor progress and contribute towards EHCP targets and reviews
  • Encourage pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development

This Class Teacher role in Kingston Upon Thames can suit candidates with either primary or secondary teaching experience, as the school caters for pupils of all ages.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal Class Teacher will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
  • Experience teaching within either primary or secondary settings
  • A passion for supporting children with additional needs
  • Ideally, previous SEN experience within a school environment
  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills
  • A patient, adaptable, and nurturing approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
