Do you have experience running shifts and administering medication? Are you passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care?

We’re looking for caring, reliable, and enthusiastic individuals who go the extra mile for our residents. We currently have a vacancy at our Heanor Park Care Home working 35 hours a week over 5 shifts. This includes nights and must be flexible.

Role Overview

As a Senior Care Assistant at Ashmere Care Homes, you’ll play a key leadership role within our friendly care team, ensuring residents receive the best possible support and that each shift runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll lead by example, showing compassion, respect, and dedication in everything you do.

Responsibilities

Your main duties will include leading and supporting care staff, administering and recording medication, assisting residents with personal care and mealtimes, communicating effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and liaising with the Home Manager, GPs, and nurses.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards it), with previous experience running shifts and administering medication. However, we can support you with this should you be successful in gaining a role with us.

Working for an established care provider like Ashmere, you start your journey with us by attending our monthly new starter company induction with all new joiners from all of our homes. We will kit you out with uniform, pay for your DBS check, provide you with regular training and maybe even spoil you with cake from time to time!

  • Discretionary Attendance Bonus (so you get paid to come to work!)
  • Eligible for Blue Light Card subscription
  • Refer a Friend Scheme (which can earn you up to £200!)
  • Pension
  • Ongoing Training and Development
  • Staff Incentives
  • Enhanced rate of pay for bank holidays
  • A fantastic employee wellbeing programme

We also offer a fantastic employee wellbeing service!
