Position
Aspire People are looking for a new addition to a Class Team in the role of KS2 Teaching Assistant. This role is based in a lovely 1‑form entry school in a village in South Derbyshire.
Experience with SEN children is required; experience with Autism and challenging behaviour is useful but not essential if you have related or adaptable experience.
Responsibilities
You will support the Class Teacher in the delivery of lessons and support the emotional well‑being of students.
Requirements
This is a full‑time, long‑term position starting ASAP for the rest of the academic year.
To be considered for this role you must meet the following criteria:
- Hold a relevant qualification & experience for Teaching Assistant
- Alternatively, hold an NVQ Level 2/3 or a minimum of 3 months full‑time experience in a classroom
- SEN experience required
- Two suitable references covering the last 2 years
- Hold a current DBS that is registered with the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one
