The HLTA will provide daily operational oversight of the WoodlandProvision. Collaborating with the Complex Needs Team, SENDCo and SeniorLeadership Team, the post holder will deliver specialist, highly adaptedinterventions for pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).Serving as the primary key adult, they will ensure the consistentimplementation of EHCP outcomes under the SENDCo’s guidance. To support bespokeplanning and adaptation, PPA time is allocated after school hours.
Qualifications / Training / Experience
Essential
- Postholders will be requiredto be able to meet the Higher-Level Teaching Assistant standards or have anequivalent qualification or experience.
- NVQ level 2 or equivalent inEnglish and Maths.
- Previous experience workingin education.
Desirable
- Understanding ofsafeguarding requirements within an education setting.
- Experience working with pupils with complex SLCNand/or EHCPs.
- Experience working within a specialist provision orSEND unit within mainstream education.
