Job Overview

We’re looking for caring, adaptable SEND Teaching Assistants to work in welcoming schools across Bristol. Whether you’re after full‑time hours, part‑time work, or a few days a week around other commitments, we’ll help you find something that works for you.

Perfect if you’re:

  • Exploring a career in education or psychology.

You’ll be supporting pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. Some days you’ll be helping a child settle into class, other days you’ll be celebrating the little wins that make this job so special.

Responsibilities

  • 1:1 support and small group work.
  • Help pupils regulate emotions and routines.
  • Support learning through creativity and patience.
  • Work closely with class teachers and SEND teams.

Qualifications & requirements

  • Calm, positive attitude.
  • Great communication and empathy.
  • Experience with children or vulnerable adults is a bonus, not essential.
  • Reliable, flexible, and ready to get stuck in.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
