Job Overview
Aspire People are recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs in a school located in Grantham, Lincolnshire. The role is full‑time, temp‑to‑perm, starting immediately, with working hours 08:30 – 15:30. The assistant will work 1:1 or in small groups with students with various learning difficulties and special educational needs.
The role requires a high level of resilience. We are ideally looking for energetic individuals with experience of working with children who have social emotional and mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Create a safe learning environment for pupils
- De‑escalate behavior that challenges through forming trusting relationships
Qualifications and Experience
- Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH
- A passion for education
