The Role
This school is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their secondary team supporting pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). The successful SEN Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to meet the individual learning needs of pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral staff to create a structured and engaging learning environment that promotes both academic achievement and personal development. The role involves adapting the curriculum, tracking pupil progress against EHCP targets, and supporting pupils with communication, emotional, and social development.

The School
This is a specialist secondary SEN school in Surrey supporting approximately 90–140 pupils aged 11–16 with Moderate Learning Difficulties, autism, speech and language needs, and associated learning difficulties. The school provides a highly supportive and structured environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and life skills alongside academic progress. Classes are small with strong teaching assistant support, allowing staff to provide personalised learning tailored to individual EHCPs.
