Responsibilities
You won’t just be checking boxes; you’ll be a mentor, a coach, and an industry expert.
- Bring the Craft to Life: Deliver creative, engaging sessions that bridge the gap between the workshop and the site.
- Support the Journey: Use your industry insight to develop the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours (KSBs) that modern employers crave.
- Be the Expert in the Field: Conduct on‑site performance reviews and assessments, ensuring our apprentices meet the highest professional standards.
- Stay Connected: Use your tech‑savviness to track progress through e‑portfolios, keeping everyone—from the student to the employer—on the path to success.
Qualifications
- Industry Roots: Solid experience in Joinery or Woodworking.
- Trade Credentials: An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant wood trade.
- The Right Tools: An A1/V1 Assessor Award and a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (or the drive to work toward them with our support).
- People Skills: The ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of learners and partner organisations.
