Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve all food to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all Residents, maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
- Work according to guidance from the Home Manager and as a team with the Registered Nurses to meet the needs and preferences of the Residents.
- Manage the performance of Kitchen staff.
Hours of Work
- Full-time: 38.5 hours per week including weekends.
- Part-time: 42 scheduled hours per week (minus breaks).
Qualifications
- Health and safety certificate.
- Food hygiene certificate.
- NVQ level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking.
Work Experience
- Previous experience of working in a kitchen is essential.
- Experience working to deadlines.
Skills And Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Organising and coordinating skills.
- Ability to adapt well to working independently and in a team.
- Team leading abilities.
