Job Description:

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve all food to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all Residents, maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen.
  • Work according to guidance from the Home Manager and as a team with the Registered Nurses to meet the needs and preferences of the Residents.
  • Manage the performance of Kitchen staff.

Hours of Work

  • Full-time: 38.5 hours per week including weekends.
  • Part-time: 42 scheduled hours per week (minus breaks).

Qualifications

  • Health and safety certificate.
  • Food hygiene certificate.
  • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking.

Work Experience

  • Previous experience of working in a kitchen is essential.
  • Experience working to deadlines.

Skills And Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication.
  • Organising and coordinating skills.
  • Ability to adapt well to working independently and in a team.
  • Team leading abilities.
