About the role
GSL are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to support students in a secondary school setting. This role involves delivering high-quality Science lessons within a modernised and well‑resourced department, helping students develop strong scientific knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking.
You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff in a school that values innovation, high standards, and continuous improvement, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full academic and personal potential.

Professional development

- Delivering engaging Science lessons across a range of topics
- Supporting exam preparation and assessment readiness
- Monitoring and supporting student progress through targeted feedback

Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons
- Inspire students through engaging practical and theoretical teaching
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations

Qualifications and Skills
- Degree-level education in a relevant subject
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (or working towards)
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Commitment to raising aspirations and improving outcomes for all learners
- A proactive, innovative, and collaborative approach
