Overview
Have you got the right tools for the job? Platform Property Care need an experienced Multi Skill Trades Plumber based in Central and Northwest Leicestershire to join our Repairs and Maintenance team and help us ensure our customer’s homes are maintained and refurbished to the required standard. You will be a Multi Skill Trades Operative, with plumbing as your focus, but experience in other trades is essential as you will deliver multi-trade refurbishment within both a repairs and voids environment, including full kitchen installations. The role is varied; no two days will be the same and you will meet a wide range of customers. It’s a tough task and our expectations are high. In return, you will have the support of a great team.

Responsibilities and role expectations
We are looking for a team player who is hard working, keen to learn, and has a can-do attitude. You will be working in people’s homes, so you need to be friendly and approachable with good communication and customer service skills. You should also be organised and recognise the importance of delivering work right first time.
Requirements
- NVQ Level 2 Plumbing is essential
- Experience of working as a Plumber in the building trade, either as a Plumber or as a multi-skilled Plumber to a high standard
- Preferably qualified as a Carpenter, but experience of delivering carpentry work to a high standard is acceptable
- Experience of working for a Social Landlord, housing association or council, delivering multi-trade repairs and maintenance
- Associated trade skills, and/or qualifications in plaster patching, decorating and wall tiling, and install of aquaboard would be desirable
- Experience of delivering multi-trade work
- Good organisational skills
- Experience of keeping jobs on track
- The drive to ensure works are completed quickly and efficiently
- Good IT skills; experienced using a PDA and Microsoft Outlook
- Full current valid driving licence – essential as this is a mobile role
- As you will be working within customers’ homes, a DBS check is required

There is also the opportunity to earn additional from being on the out-of-hours rota, which is required. This role is mobile, so it is essential you have a current valid driving licence.
