Job Overview
Exciting new contract win for Kinly means we have an opportunity for a number of experienced AV Event Technicians, with proven corporate experience, to join us on site at our new client, who boasts a new building allowing for the latest AV technology.
Location: London, UK (located near St Paul’s)
Salary: £43,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience), plus company benefits
Interview Process: 2 stages (Virtual and Face‑to‑face)
Hours: Monday – Friday – 40 hours (rotational shifts; 7am – 4pm & 10am – 7pm)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite AV support for meeting rooms, event spaces, and their control systems and equipment.
- Identify faults precisely and manage all aspects of audio–visual, video‑conferencing, and display technologies to ensure meeting‑room AV systems run efficiently with minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Quickly and accurately diagnose and resolve issues with Audio‑Video, Video‑Conferencing, and Touch‑Panel systems.
- Interact extensively with customers, often collaborating with supervisors or peers across various areas, divisions, units, or with external clients.
- Support high‑profile meetings, including those involving executive leadership teams and external clients, regularly coordinating with internal partners to implement customer‑driven updates.
- Foster collaboration and problem‑solving by meeting with internal partners and collecting feedback.
- Pre‑Event Preparation: testing prior to events to identify and resolve potential technical issues.
- Event Support: maintain system functionality, troubleshoot issues, support event planning and execution, and adapt to different scenarios.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience working in Audio‑Visual Support or a related field within a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Teams and Teams Rooms, including troubleshooting and administration.
- Skilled in audio‑visual technology, such as Poly, Neat, Crestron, and Extron.
- Practical experience with AV hardware like video‑conferencing systems (e.g., Neat Bars and Poly X72/G62 Codecs), camera equipment, displays, and audio devices.
- Comfortable with AV control systems, preferably Crestron, and capable of basic operation and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of professional audio systems, ideally with familiarity with Biamp or similar platforms for audio processing.
- Experience supporting live production events, handling audio, video, and camera setups.
- Understanding of digital audio mixers, Shure wireless microphones, and Dante audio.
- Familiarity with Vmix, BlackMagic Studio Cameras, switchers, and vision mixers.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical abilities, with a proactive attitude toward finding and fixing issues.
